Phoenix, United States - November 2, 2017 /PressCable/ —

Airline Captain, author and Airways Magazine Columnist Eric “Cap’n Aux” Auxier is launching his brand new book, “There I Wuz! Adventures From 3 Decades in the Sky, Volume 4”. The book is set to go live November 5th, available through Amazon in both print and eBook, and is expected to become a big hit with fans of the aviation and adventure travel world.

More information on the book can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076J39CB6

This is the ninth book Auxier has authored. A collection of true short stories, the book was written to entertain and educate readers on the joys, adventures, challenges and travails of life in the sky. There’s also particular excitement about this launch because it will be the fourth and final book in the series, and will also feature over 10 contributing writers.

With a rare and fascinating glimpse at what goes on in front of the kevlar cockpit doors, There I Wuz! Volume 4 celebrates the pilots behind the controls of the plane. Readers will likely delight in stories by and of fascinating aviation personalities, such as Jessica Cox, the world’s only licensed pilot with no arms, and Steven Slater, JetBlue’s infamous job-quitting, emergency chute-sliding flight attendant. The book’s cover art was created by the author himself, and There I Wuz! Volume 4 is being released by EALiterary Press.

With over 22,000 hours of flight time in the cockpit, Captain Auxier has been an airline pilot for nearly 40 years—27 with the same major U.S. airline—and is also a popular columnist for Airways Magazine. This helped shaped the creation of the book, by having a desire to impart some of his adventures and pearls of wisdom learned the hard way.

When asked about why he wrote the book, Auxier said: “Ask any pilot how they started flying, and you will hear a love story. I’ve been in love with her since I was 5 years old, and 50 years later, I am still madly, hopelessly in love.”

Auxier’s books and writings have inspired the next generation of up n’ coming pilots, as well as “chairborne” aviation enthusiasts who perhaps may never step into their own cockpit. This positive outlook from the author is certainly testament to his optimism, considering some of the challenges during its creation. At one point, the author’s Producer and girlfriend, Mary Ann Laverty, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Life stopped for the two, and six months of excruciating chemotherapy and radiation ensued. As a result, the author has pledged to donate 1/2 of all personal proceeds from Volume 4 to the Lung Cancer charity, Teamdraft.org.

In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking Mary Ann for her love, support, and incredible inner strength that inspired him during the creation of the book, saying: “I’ve been especially grateful for Mary Ann’s strength and support, despite her travails.”
