Pure Water Patriot is a company website which discusses the available information on water quality. The site was recently relaunched to provide even more research results on the topic of clean water and how to achieve the health benefits of pure drinking water. Much research has been done on water quality, and the site is focused on presenting the information in a concise and readable format. A recent article is on the topic of a buying guide to the best water filters.

Michael Johnson, the founder of the website, spoke to an interviewer about water, "Water is an essential element for human life. You cannot live without it, yet so many of us take it for granted. Having water on tap in our homes is a great luxury that some countries do not have, but drinking it this way, unfortunately, can impact your health.”

He continues, "If you have never researched the contents of our water supply, I can tell you it can be quite shocking. Through its investigations, the Environmental Working Group has discovered there are over 300 pollutants in Americans' drinking water. Of these 300 over half are unregulated and can be present in any amount; this really can be detrimental to your health.

Some different types of pollutants in water include heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, microbes, and fluoride. Even Arlington, TX, which has had been shown to have excellent water, still has drinking water that contains seven regulated chemicals that exceed heath guidelines. For many people, purchasing a quality water filter may be the best way to avoid ingesting undesirable and even harmful ingredients in drinking water.

The website shows that there are four primary considerations when choosing a water filter. These are cost, performance, installation and filter life. Using those characteristics, these filters are identified and discussed: Reverse Osmosis Water Filters, Whole House Water Filters, Counter Top Water Filters, Faucet Water Filters, Under Sink Water Filters, and Gravity Fed Water Filters.
